Creative writing for digital media

Different Perspective is looking for an enthusiastic, in-house, full-time or part-time Content Creator to research and write effective educational and sales content. Content may include website copy, blogs, case studies, e-books, sales materials, brochures, email marketing copy, ads and social media efforts for the agency and its clients.

DEVELOP STORIES

We believe the best content creators are masters of storytelling. This position is an exceptional opportunity for a professional writer and content producer because it requires the ability to research news and topics related to our industry and our client’s industries; identify opportunities, offer ideas and solutions to challenges; edit others’ work; and participate in the promotion of content across different channels and social media platforms.

CREATE MASTERPIECES

The candidate should demonstrate a strong command of the English language, both formal and informal. They must be able to understand clients’ brand voice; write compelling, beautifully constructed copy for a variety of clients and audiences; demonstrate competent grammar and spelling skills, with minimal amends from proofreading. They should also be able to respond positively to feedback from the Director of Communications as well as clients and re-draft copy to incorporate feedback, while retaining the impact of the original message.

GENERATE IDEAS

The candidate should be capable of digesting, debriefing and organizing content provided by the client or from their own research. They should be able to craft content based on unique, original interpretations of each subject matter at hand, while staying respectful to the accepted expertise around the subject, without plagiarizing. They should also measure ideas against high creative standards and business objectives.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Writing different types of copy depending on its purpose and goals.
  • Working closely with marketing and sales team members to establish the tone of voice and appropriate writing styles.
  • Conducting client interviews to learn more about their objectives.
  • Researching subject matter to ensure the quality and accuracy of the copy.
  • Editing and rewriting copy written by other members of the marketing team.
  • Publishing content on social media channels and websites.
  • Contributing to content, social media, digital marketing and campaign brainstorming sessions and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate:

  • Possesses experience writing blogs, website copy, and contributing to social media campaigns.
  • Understands online copywriting and how it impacts search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Exemplifies excellent organizational and task management skills as well as a strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrates an excellent attitude and ability to work well within a team.
  • Possesses experience with (or the ability to learn) other forms of content like social media graphics, videos, infographics, landing pages, brochures and more.
  • Understands how collaboration makes creativity better.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects at once and meeting both long and short deadlines.
  • Shows excellent written and spoken presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a passion for creating content for different industries.
  • Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing work environment with shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrates a passion for excellence and quality results.
  • Exemplifies an insatiable appetite for lifelong learning.

Experience:

  • 3+ years in a professional writing role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Public Relations or Marketing/Advertising is preferred.

Bonus skills:

  • Experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Drive and Semrush (or other SEO tools).
  • Experience with SEO, digital marketing and professional social media content creation.
  • Ability to incorporate relevant data (KPIs) into cohesive and easy-to-understand reports.

Communications Intern

Gain experience in communications, advertising, and marketing

Different Perspective is looking for a part-time intern to join our team. The ideal candidate would be interested in gaining real-world work experience at an advertising agency.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with our team leaders.
  • Assisting on projects with a deadline.
  • Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
  • Research and competition analysis.
  • Schedule social media content on social media management apps.
  • Develop content for the agency’s and clients’ blogs and social media channels.
  • Develop ideas on how to improve social media presence.
  • Create internal presentations.
  • Write scripts for video blogs.
  • Review and edit copy.

The ideal candidate is:
