The scope

The scope

Currently celebrating its 30th Season, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra utilizes the transformative power of live music to enrich, inspire, and serve the Central Florida community. It presents over 170 live concerts and impacts more than 70,000 children, youth, and families annually through different types of concerts, programs, and series.

To honor its past and support its future, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra held a benefit gala called Rhapsody: Celebrating Love and Music.

As such a pivotal annual fundraising event, our team worked to develop a creative brand for Rhapsody that would elevate production quality, expand engagement, and provide a high-quality backdrop to the incredible music and celebration that the orchestra would hold at the event. 

Our creative team developed the event branding that followed the Orlando Philharmonic’s overarching brand guidelines while invoking feelings of celebration and love through the chosen colors, fonts, and shapes.

The approach


The main inspiration for developing Rhapsody’s visual identity comes from observing the musicians themselves and the music they perform. The music’s beauty arises from the progression of the notes played—the intervals, the highs and lows—and the fluidity of the musicians’ movements as they play their instruments. Therefore, all the visual elements created for Rhapsody’s branding seek to represent this audiovisual dynamism.

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra has worked with Different Perspective on a variety of projects over the last 10 years, and our latest project was a brand design for our annual gala. The DP team did a fantastic job creating the branding and really worked to showcase the excellence of live music and convey that in the branding they created. The team met with us various times to really listen and talk through exactly what we were looking for. We love the final product and we love working with the DP team! You won’t find another agency in the Orlando area that is as great to work with, plus they give so much back to the nonprofit community in their work!
