A year of gratitude and reflection in 2024

The Different Perspective team shares what we’re grateful for and what we look forward to in 2025

As we enter the season of gratitude and prepare for the holidays, the team at Different Perspective is taking a moment to reflect on what we’re thankful for in 2024 and the exciting potential of the year ahead.

Join us as we share each team member’s personal reflections, celebrating a year filled with remarkable projects, motivating interactions, and meaningful partnerships. We hope these insights into our journey inspire you to embrace gratitude this November and beyond!

Tarik: This year, I started using Figma, a platform I have wanted to explore for a long time, and now we will use it to develop website layouts.

Luisa: This year, I dove back into writing more extensive pieces of content, and it’s been rewarding to refine this skill. Longer, in-depth content allows me to explore topics more thoroughly.

Annabelle: For work, I’ve been exploring Canva’s latest updates, particularly its AI design features, to optimize my social media skills. Outside of work, I’ve taken up oil painting for fun.

Sophia: I have started developing proficiency in marketing tools to assist me in creating and scheduling content.

Greg: Learned more about new techniques our team uses to make our products more value-added.

Priscilla: This year, in my volunteer work, I became the President of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, so I participated in two amazing programs related to non-profit and arts management education. One focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the other covered a plethora of arts management topics, including sessions on marketing & sales, fundraising, board leadership, strategic planning, and more. On top of that, I am constantly exploring how AI and automation can help us maximize our efforts to provide even better support to our clients.

Hugo: I was accepted and am currently participating in the ‘Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program’ (10KSB for short). I am developing various skills in multiple areas to benefit our company, team, and clients.

Alberto: I started to play guitar again after almost 30 years. Let’s see how it goes.

Renato: This year, instead of focusing on learning a new skill, I dedicated myself to improving the skills I already have. It was a period of growth and improvement.

Marco: I discovered a new sport. Now I practice footvolley at least three times a week.

Tarik: It was definitely the team gathering in Rio. We spent more time together this time, which made the visit even more special. Having the opportunity to take everyone on a tour of my neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro was gratifying.

Luisa: Seeing the first project I worked on at DP gain traction through organic traffic.

Annabelle: Being part of the DP team full-time has been amazing! Working alongside such cool people while continuing to learn, grow, and sharpen my skills with our diverse client projects makes this journey both exciting and fulfilling.

Sophia: My most rewarding moment at DP so far has been being hired and onboarded as an intern here. Getting to meet the team and show off my talents has been so fulfilling, and I am excited to continue to do so!

Greg: I always find it rewarding seeing clients leave raving reviews online after projects are completed!

Priscilla: I am always excited to complete client projects, continue our long-term client relationships, and help them grow their businesses. This year, we also had a terrific gathering with team members who live outside Orlando. It was all about being together in person, having fun, and building connections.

Hugo: It was gratifying to meet in person and spend quality time with our team members located outside Orlando. It was awesome to hang out with their families, talk about various topics, and have plain old fun.🙂

Alberto: For me, it was the reunion with the DP team this past September. It was a real blessing to be able to catch up and enjoy great moments.

Renato: The DP event with the team was awesome! We talked, spent time together in person, and relaxed a bit. It was a really cool moment.

Marco: The DP event with the team. It’s always a pleasure to be with the whole team together, talking about a wide range of topics.

Tarik: I am very grateful for my health and for my family, always! These are the foundations of my life.

Luisa: I’m thankful for my friends, family, and cats. 😻 Each one of them brings something special into my life.

Annabelle: I’m so thankful for my family. They all mean the world to me.

Sophia: I am extremely thankful to my family, friends, partner, and mentors for always being my number one cheerleaders.

Greg: My granddaughter and my second granddaughter are due any day now.

Priscilla: I am thankful for my family and friends, who are like family. I am grateful for our awesome DP team. Our clients are collaborative and excellent at what they do, and I am thankful they see us as a part of their own teams and business success. I love it when they introduce us as “their marketing team.”

Hugo: I am thankful for DP’s 20th anniversary this year. The reason for our success is shared equally by our team members and clients (current and past).

Alberto: I am most thankful for my family and the love of God constantly in my life and my son’s life, too.

Renato: I am deeply grateful, first of all, to my family, the opportunities that life has given me, and the work that allows me to grow and learn every day.

Marco: I’m very grateful for the chance to grow and reinvent myself. Every challenge brings a lesson and shows me how much I can evolve. Whether at work or in my personal life, this journey of constant learning makes me more excited and grateful!

Tarik: This year, I had the opportunity to propose some improvements to the agency’s processes and materials that I believe enriched our branding projects. I am always thinking about how to improve our dynamics, presentations, and deliveries.

Luisa: I’ve really enjoyed working with our great team of such lovely people. They are supportive, positive, and dedicated, which makes every project a joy to work on.

Annabelle: I’ve enjoyed contributing to new client projects this year, and we’ve had some amazing ones! It’s exciting to work on such a diverse range of projects for both new and ongoing clients. At DP, there’s never a dull moment!

Sophia: I have adored the research and writing process, be it for posts or blogs.

Greg: The best part of my job recently is we had a client on board after our initial conversation over a year ago. I believe it shows that our initial conversation was impactful enough for them to come back to us once they were ready.

Priscilla: The flexibility of remote work. I never thought I would enjoy it, but we decided to give it a try earlier this year, and it is working great. Since the pandemic, some of us were hybrid, but some team members were remote. Going fully remote means we are all on the same communication rhythm, and no one feels left out. We are also making in-person time all about fun both with team members and clients!

Hugo: At the 10KSB program, I am meeting with entrepreneurs from every corner of the United States, from multiple backgrounds and industries. I enjoy getting to know new people and learning about their businesses, victories, and struggles. We are not alone and can leverage our experiences to grow together!

Alberto: I am able to continue challenging myself with great video animations.

Renato: I always like to do new things, and in my area, which is frontend web development, there is always something new. Making different layouts has made me excited.

Marco: I recently started working with a new framework, which is always challenging and stimulating.

Tarik: I’m grateful for my friendships and family because they are always with me in my victories and in my defeats, always supporting me everywhere I go.

Luisa: I’m grateful for friends who stand by me during difficult times. Their support and encouragement always remind me that I’m never alone.

Annabelle: I’m so grateful for all the people who have supported me and continue to do so today. From my family to mentors and friends, I wouldn’t be where I am today without their encouragement and support.

Sophia: Time with the people most precious to me isn’t something to be taken for granted. Time and time again I see how unpredictable life is, and every day is a blessing. Thus, being with the people I treasure daily is priceless.

Greg: Spending time with my boys, who are in their 20s and still like their dad!

Priscilla: Reading in the morning, exercising, walking in my neighborhood, spending time with awesome people, and enjoying my newfound mushroom coffee. LOL.

Hugo: Have a set time to start and time to finish work. This is not easy to do when you own or manage a business. I find it extremely important to have a routine to be able to invest in our physical and mental health. The final result is better service for our clients. Also, I am grateful that our team members always give 100% of their effort, skills, and knowledge to every project we have.

Alberto: Lunch with my son. Have peace at my home. See a good movie. To be honest, I am grateful for every single little detail in my life. From the moment I wake up until bedtime.

Renato: Quality of life, being able to work from home, and being closer to my family. I am grateful to all the people who in some way help me in my daily life, and especially to my daughter. She inspires me to want to live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment.

Marco: The small interactions with the people around me, whether it’s a quick conversation, a shared laugh, or even a simple good morning. I am very grateful for the people who have been by my side through the ups and downs. Without them, life wouldn’t be half as fun – we wouldn’t have anyone to share our victories with or anyone to support us through our challenges. It is this exchange that gives meaning and lightness to the journey.

Tarik: In 2025, I want it to be a year of a lot of learning. This year, I returned to studying, reading, and taking courses that improved my knowledge of branding, and I plan to further increase these studies to contribute even more to the DP family.

Luisa: I’m excited to take up a new hobby in 2025. Exploring something fresh and challenging myself to grow in a different area.

Annabelle: I look forward to staying creative inside and outside work, exploring new destinations, and creating fun new memories with friends and family!

Sophia: I am excited to continue my journey in the workforce!

Priscilla: Different Perspective was chosen to participate in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program. On behalf of our company, Hugo is participating in the 12-week program and collaborating with other entrepreneurs around the country. This experience will help inform and strengthen our business. I am looking forward to implementing new strategies and adding even more value to our clients!

Hugo: I look forward to seeing our amazing clients grow and be part of their success. I also want to help new customers, learn about their businesses, and support them in their business journey.

Alberto: I am looking forward to having more and more peace and more and more opportunities to enjoy my family and friends. That’s all.

Renato: In 2025, I hope to have health, peace, and happiness, both for myself and for my family and friends. I also wish for professional growth, to achieve new goals, and to continue learning. And, of course, a world with more peace and unity for all of us!

Marco: I want to continue learning and challenging myself with new things. Whether at work or in my personal life. And to have more time for friends and family to enjoy the simple things in life.
